Saaremaa Espresso Beans
An easeful tale:
A man from island Saaremaa was walking along a sheep track by a stone fence when he saw the blue of the sky melting into pure seawater in the horizon. White sail lead his mind to wander... ...the man set steps to an old windmill. Junipers were becoming higher and thicker… and windmill wings were just about to become visible from behind the bushes. The berries on the junipers became bigger, turning from green to deep blue, then purple, beige, brown already… should you believe your eyes? But no, they are not juniper berries, these are like coffee beans, no – juniper beans…
Has the man from Saaremaa found a new juniper species? Yes – the Juniperus Coffea or espresso bean juniper – he has found it in his own dreams, but dreams – they do come true, don’t they?
A wholly truthful tale:
... But here they are, the “Saaremaa Espresso Beans” that have become the favourite coffee for many islanders. The Arabica beans, roasted in Spain, have been grown in Brazil and Columbia, and the Robusta beans in Uganda.
